The Objectives of The Great Lakes Poodle Club shall be to encourage and promote owning, breeding and training of purebred Poodles and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.
In addition, The Great Lakes Poodle Club shall urge members and breeders to accept the Standard of the Breed as drawn by the parent club, The Poodle Club of America, Inc. and as approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Poodles should be judged.
The Great Lakes Poodle Club provides on-going educational programs for the benefit of the general public as well as for club members. In addition, it does everything in it's power to protect and advance the interests of the breed and to encourage active participation and sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, matches, obedience trials and all other phases of the sport.
